Have been wondering if it is cheaper to order parts directly from your local dealer opposed to buying from Newmars parts dept.? I just ordered a fuel filter cover for my MAPD 4304 and that sucker was $245. Just thought that was high for a piece of molded plastic..Has anyone else questioned their parts ??

If your MADP is like our '05 Essex was, the attachment process was p... poor. Your replacement will also fail unless you get a length of "U" channel from Home Depot or Lowes to support the bottom of the cover like the newer coaches have. It seems to me that they should cut you some slack on the purchase price as they knew this failure was not unusual.

I have ordered some parts directly from Newmar. The prices were not out of hand. I do not have a local dealer, so have no comparison there. One item was the outside porchlight, to get an exact match, I needed to get it from Newmar, but looking at prices for a comparable item from PPL or CW, I did not pay too much from Newmar.
Service was good, delivery quick.

I should have said "J" rather than "U". Use self tapping screws and attach it to the metal plate. This supports the bottom of the cover.
