Pet-friendly hotels/motels in Nappanee?

We will be having the coach serviced at Newmar in the first week of June. Wondering about pet-friendly accommodations for the service period rather than vacating the coach at 6:30 am each day.

Any recommendations for such accommodations? We'd like something clean and relatively close to restaurants, etc. Doesn't have to be "fancy." I'm thinking we should make reservations early on.

Been there! Looking for personal recommendations from those who may have stayed at one of these accommodations.

We stay at Oakwood on the lake. They do charge for the pooch $25. The place is nice.

Oakwood is it. Sam and I stayed there. Very nice and friendly. Ask for the Newmar rate but tell them you're paying, they'll give you a discount. Tell them I sent you and they'll upcharge $50 :(

Thanks, Neal. Sam's recommendation goes a long way with the "Scnauzer Girls;" Lizzy and Ellie!

Now, I need for Newmar to confirm how many days it will take them to do what we need done and I can make a reservation. I'll be sure to ask for the "NealC upcharge!"

If that's the only room available, you must have hit a busy time. Yes, Oakwood is a little pricey, but I just checked for June and they have a good selection of rooms available for far less than $4K.

There are many other possible lodging options within 20 miles of Newmar, so unless there is some big event going on during the time you will be there, I would guess you could find something else within your budget.

Last summer we spent 2 nights (special Newmar rate) at The Inn at Amish Acres with our 2 dogs. Nothing fancy, but worked better than being awakened at 6:00 am to vacate the coach.

I heard the rooms there are pretty bad. Untrue?
