I'm looking for photos of the AC openings underneath my 2001 MADPs Penguins.
Definitely a long shot, but anyone ever removed an AC unit and snapped a pic?

Far as I know all RV's are set up the same - as wa8yxm says 14 x 14 square - same dimensions as your other roof vents.

Newmars have a proprietary ductwork system. It's not just the standard 14 x 14-inch opening.

I received photos from Newmar tech support and a Yahoo Groups forum member.
The pics are on the Yahoo newmarowners group:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/newmar...75472/pic/list
The short story is that you need a special gasket on the bottom of the AC to separate and direct the AC in and out flows.
Most other RVs cut a 14x14-inch hole entirely through the ceiling. Newmar doesn't do this -- it directs and pulls air from 2 ceiling channels w/o going thru the ceiling.
Tx all!

Techwriter-just had a new A/c installed last summer and again last fall (first installation bought the farm due to faulty compressor). Watch both installations being done and a standard roof gasket was used. the A/C did have provisions built in for the split duct tho.

The view of the ducts look pretty shallow must be angle of picture.
