How does one polish these coated aluminum wheels? Just like normal? Or will that take the coating off?
Thanks,
Alan

Coated wheels are supposed to eliminate the need to polish..and if you DO so, you will be polishing forever, as the coating will be gone...Soap and water is supposed to be all that is needed

I always spray my coated wheels with "Simple Green" (full strength) and leave it on the wheel for 20-30 seconds. In the case of really dirty wheels I use a soft sponge and then rinse it thoroughly with a lot of water. You will be amazed how great the wheels look with little effort and after many years the wheels still look as new.

In the case of my coach, the brand name
"Accuride" is stamped on my wheels and a sticker indicates they are coated with "Accu-Shield" and advises not to use any abrasive cleaners.

You might want to consider what the manufacturer, Accuride, has to say about cleaning their Accu-Shield product.

Cleaning Accushield wheels

Repairing Accushield wheels

Use of a "hard" or excessively bristley brush when you wash these wheels will put micro scratches all over the AccuShield coating making them look dull. Make sure your brush is very soft to the touch.

I have found an extremely light and judicious use of the Mother's Polishing Ball with some mag wheel type polish or even the special plastic polishes will take them out.
