Possible metal fatigue on Dust Storm preventor
For those of us who made our own Dust Storm Preventer by installing an aluminum plate supported by two metal strips attached at the bottom of the radiator frame, I was wondering if anyone had noticed any metal fatigue any place? I didn't attach any support on the plate to the engine side so I've noticed quite a bit of vibration when the engine is running and thought maybe this might cause the metal strips to eventually crack or break thus letting the plate drop and hit the ground.
I used 1 1/2" by 1/8" thick metal strips so maybe these aren't stout enough for this purpose. But the plate sure greatly reduces that dust storm that fogs up all over the toad when entering a dirt campground.
