The drivers power shade on my coach has stopped working. I had the shade lowered while driving into the sun and when I tried to raise it , the motor ran for a second or so, and then stopped.

The switch on the left side checks out. So, I guess the motor is bad.

Who makes these motorized shades? Has anyone had their shade go bad and what did you do?

Thanks

Hi eoddewey,
Your best bet may be to call Newmar service at 800-731-8300. MCD made some shades for Newmar, but I'm not sure about your coach. MCD's web site is http://www.mcdinnovations.com/ .

The current limiter could have gone bad. Jump 12V directly to the shade motor and see if it goes. You might also jiggle the limiter adjustment screws if so equipped.
