Power steering part number to Baldwin

I bought a power steering filter at the local truck parts supplier for my 2015 DS using number VML1808D. They cross referenced that number to a Baldwin BT9388. But this Baldwin filter has threads in the center just like a spin-on filter.
Do these Freightliner power steering filters spin on? I don't want to get my reservoir drained then find out I have the wrong filter.

Allen, it's been a couple of years since I changed mine, but if I recall, it's threaded. When you look at your power steering reservoir, (lower right tank in the photo) it almost looks like the tank has two caps. One is the filler cap and the other with the hose is the filter. You remove the one with hose and screw in the new filter.

Thanks Don. Do you remember whether the filter screws to the bottom of the reservoir or to the large cap?

The part number you used had to have a new rubber seal but this Baldwin had the rubber seal right on the filter just like any other oil filter. I just felt a little uneasy since the truck parts shop came up with this different part number.

Screws to the underside of the cap.

Thanks Don, I certainly feel better knowing what is facing me. Course all that will have to wait a while since my wife fell in the MH week ago Monday gashing her eye brow and breaking her right arm, and she is right handed. We spent that Monday afternoon, all night, and half of Tuesday at the hospital in the emergency section. Surgeon happened to be at the hospital with his crew doing a hip repair just ahead of us.
I'm now learning to be a domestic helper so motor home has to wait.
Missed our trip to Arkansas to visit her relatives on this account.

Sorry to hear about your wife....take good care of her. I'm sure you've told her numerous times how upset you are that you missed the trip to see HER relatives!

She felt bad enough herself so I felt the better part of valor was my silence on this subject. Since it was mostly my fault she tripped on an electric cord I had on the floor I have to cater to her every need. And with no right hand those needs are many.
