I need some assistance Please.

When running on generator power OR inverter power the electrical plugs that "run" the television/satellite/etc continual 'cycle'. In other words everything plugged in up there (and in the back) turn "off" and then back "on" over and over.

Any suggestions?

But you don't have the problem when you're on shore power?

Do you hear any noise coming from the transfer switch? Could it be cycling?

Check the relay that disables those receptacles when the ignition switch is on. That relay could be faulty. Unlikely your transfer switch unless all your other receptacles and appliances are cycling also.

He did say "and in the back", so I'm thinking it's a coach-wide issue.

It appears you are overloading the inverter and it is shutting down and recycling and turning back on. Does it do this when watching the front TV only or when you are watching both TVs?

He says it happens when he's on the generator, so I'm not sure that's it. We need to get some clarification from the OP.

Ok I will try and be a bit more clear and descriptive:

When plugged into shore power EVERYTHING works as it should

When on generator power the plugs that are also inverter plugs (in the front for tv/satellite/etc and in back) will cycle on and off. It doesn't matter if one tv is on or both.

When using inverter (without the generator running) the same thing happens.

If I take the electrical cords for tv/satellite and 're-route' them to a different plug (when running generator) the tv/sat works fine.

I hope this makes things clearer.....oh yes one more thing....I am a tecnological idiot....so if this isn't something easy......just send me off to a repair technician....it is probably what I will have to do anyway.....lol

That sounds like a combination of a bad transfer switch and an inverter problem. Since you have the problem when solely on inverter, the inverter must be having a problem. Since the problem doesn't go away when the generator is on, there must be an issue with the inverter getting power from the generator (i.e. the transfer switch).

From this statement it sounds like a inverter problem.

I would have to agree with what Joe says. Based on the OP's information nothing else makes sense. But, then again, both failures simultaneously is improbable and unlikely.

I think it is an inverter issue. What inverter do you have?

One of the OPTIONS on SOME inverters is "load sensing" in this mode the inverter checks for a load on the line, if there is none it drops to "Standby" mode. if there is a load needing at least 100 watts (Often adjustable) it will switch to "inverter" mode and supply power

It may be that the inverter is NOT receiving generator power, or does not like what it's getting, and is testing for load by cycling power on and off, and there is not enough load to lock it on

To test, easily, plug in a lamp of at least 100 watts. IF that comes on and stays on.. Load sense is in effect.

Lamp, heater, coffee maker, hot plate, any load 100 watts up to the limit of the inverter.
