Hello, could use some help!
Our back up camera will not open, will hear three beeps but will not open, we have checked the fuse (only found one), pushed the reset button. The radio and cd player will not work either. They are all hooked together.
Could it have got locked up and if so how to unlock. Any advise.
Was working fine and then a couple hours later would not.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Hog-Fan

Hog-fan,

Please post the make and model of the camera and your rig so our members will be able to better help you.

Have no idea what you mean by "will not open" ...info on RV, backup camera, etc would likely be helpful...

Welcome to the forum.

I'm shooting in the dark here too, but the fact that your radio/cd player (I'm assuming these are 12 volt items) are also on the fritz says it has got to be power related as opposed to a problem with the device itself.

It is very common for manufacturers to put more than one item on a circuit and then only label it for one or the other item. If you say you found one fuse and it was good, don't rule out that there could be another "in-line" fuse somewhere in the harness.

I'd get out the old multi-meter and crawl under the dash and check the voltage to the unit and, assuming there isn't any, work backward from there.

What you may need to check is the fuse panel wiring to fuse block where ever your manual says your fuse block is for non working items, wiring under screws will loosen up causing sporadic operation at times while traveling on road due to vibration.
It may not just be the fuse wiring but the supply leads for the fuse block both + & - ,most items in my coach are individually supplied. White ground wires could all be tied together with large wire nut or connected to a ground buss.

If it's a Total Vision you need to have your Tech speak to Rod. Rod invented the camera and is President/Founder of the company (Tucson,AZ). You speak to him by calling the 800 number in the booklet. When we were at LaMesa in Tucson Rod came over and fixed our camera (BTW we haven't had problems with it since).
