Problem With DS 4369 "Hood" "Prop-Bar"

I'm curious whether other of you '15 DS 4369 owners are looking for (or found) ways to modify the front "hood" "prop-bar" (for lack of the correct name for it).
Mine has twice popped out of the travelling position "latch". Not good! Additionally, I find it difficult/a pain to secure it and unlatch it for use. I'm a new owner and hope I can rectify that concern soon. Would appreciate hearing your thoughts/
experiences regarding it. Thanks! Larry

Mine doesn't stay either. Nor does it seem like it fits in the hole very well. :(

Don, I think you have a new business here. You should provide a kit with all the parts available and I'll be your first customer. In fact, you could have multiple kits with all the changes you've made.

Close the hood gently. Mine would pop loose if I slammed the hood but stay put if I closed the hood gently.
