I've been a member of irv2.com since 2002, but we have always owned toyhaulers. We have a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and always need the space in the back for our bike on camping trips. We've always longed for a motorhome so we decided to buy. After a long search, we found a nice 2003 Mountain Aire 3778 gasser with 2 slides. Only 12,000 miles in excellent shape. We will take our Harley on a trailer as a toad. Now we really have the best of both worlds.

We bought our MH in Dec. but have not had the chance to use it yet due to our work schedules. I work 12 hours shifts (I'm a nurse) and he works 12 hour days several days in a row. You might wonder when the heck we will USE the motorhome? Well, we will have every other 4 day weekend off (we just got this arranged). Our first trip will be to Daytona Bike Week in a few weeks and we have a trip a month planned until August. Hopefully we will have more in between those trips as well.

Anyway, I think this is a great Newmar site and would really like to join in the conversations here. I just wanted to say hello!

I feel like a queen owning such a nice motorhome. I'm sure you all feel like royalty as well owning wonderful Newmar MHs.

Anyway....hello to all!

Well, I'm not sure if we are who you think we are or not. We have stayed at a nice place outside of Myrtle Beach in Longs, SC....Willow Tree RV Resort, but not during Bike Week. We usually stay at Lakewood in Myrtle Beach for Bike Week there. (one of the few campgrounds in Myrtle Beach that will let you keep your bike at the camp site). We will also be staying there during Bike Week again this year. From Wed to Sun. Hope to see you there!!

Thanks for the welcome!

Rhonda,

Congrats on the new rig!

If you're looking for someplace to go in April, consider joining us at the Appalachian Campers Spring Rally at the Fontana Dam. We'd love to have y'all come.

Thanks, but I checked my husband's schedule for those dates (he has a whole year schedule in advance) and he has to work that weekend. Shoot! And it sounds like such fun. I'd love to go to a rally like that one day. Thanks for the invitation anyway!

Rhonda, Sorry to hear of your fathers problems. Glad to see that you two got a once a month schedule worked out.

Hi Rhonda, congratulations on the new coach , she's a beauty. We have rode and drug our bikes all over the USA for the past 35 yrs. Maybe you guys could borrow a trailer for Daytona, because that is the best place to shop trailers. Believe me those guys don't want to drag them back !!! Good Prices !!! And the best selection of trailers, open and enclosed. I like enclosed. Good Luck and we hope to see you guyz on the rode.

PS: if your off the week of Easter we will be at Camp Hatteras March 31 to April 8, come visit.

Hey, we own a 2002 MA and 3778 too. Love it. I think I remember your asking about dealers or discussing looking while back. We bought at Howard's in Wilmington. We live in Raleigh and just leased an annual site with a park TT on it down in Chocowinity NC. Hard for Ed to get away a lot and 38'too much for me so this is proving to be a great interim idea until we can travel more in MH. We stayed at Willow Tree this summer, then MBTP then Ocean Lakes (3 weeks) was great. We can usually only squeeze about 6 weeks a year out in MH. Have you guys considered Branson rally?

Kate
