PTL Door wedge solenoid power

I have a 2010 Newmar Essex and my Air Cylinder for the door wedge doesn’t operate. What powers the solenoid? I have tested the solenoid with a 12 volt source and it works. I also tested the two air pressure sending units on the Parking brake and they work ok. Anybody have and ideas?

I have not worked on the air assit system much. But, I did troubleshoot the system last spring.

First, I found a document called SS2013DRENTDR.pdf on the Newmar website. It is not very useful, but it does have pictures of the various parts.

The air cylinder is vacuum operated. You should verify that the plastic tubing provides a vacuum to the cylinder. If you have vacuum, then the air valve is bad. If you don't have vacuum, then you need to work your way back to the Mac valve (solenoid)

My problem was a bad ground to the solenoid. I suggest you clean up the power and ground connections to the solenoid.

I have air going to the solenoid and if I supply power and ground to the solenoid it works. Wondering what supplies power to the solenoid and where to trouble shoot power source.

The last page of the SS2013DRENTDR document shows a schematic. I don't fully understand it, but that's where you need to start.

Start with the Mac ground. Make sure that is clean at both ends.

I had some AC work done and my air valve stopped working. They knocked a wire loose.
