Does Newmar sell direct to customers from factory?

But it starts at an authorized dealership.
The only 2 brands that routinely sell factory direct (AFAIK) are Newell and Nexus.

They have factory pick-up but sell through dealers.

Not sure I understand your question. Do you want to order a motorhome or parts? Motorhomes are ordered through authorized dealers. Replacement parts can be purchased directly from Newmar or from the OEM if you know who that is.

No, only through dealers for the RV. Parts, yes. But might be cheaper through a dealer.

I am going to take a stab at this............but please know, this is more in the form of a question than lessons from experience.
They definitely sell parts and service direct - we have experience there, all positive.
But if you mean buying a new coach, here goes:
First off, a little background on us. We are retired, bought our first motor home almost 2 years ago and started "camping".
We bought a slightly used (11,600 miles in October 2014) 2002 Newmar Dutch Star DP - it has turned out to be a great coach to learn on, we have upgraded many things and get a lot of enjoyment from the rig.
The wife has informed me we "will" upgrade in a couple years.........we would like opposing slides in the living room.......and some other newer things that were not available when ours was new.
If we go new, it will be a Newmar, most likely a Dutch Star. I plan to work with a rep from Newmar, Michele is who I believe helps put "my coach" together.
After we have figured out all the "things/extras" we want and Newmar gives us our "Dream-Sheet" complete with MSRP, I will send it off to Newmar Dealers of my choice and get quotes............
I believe I am I in the ball park??
Although it is not buying the coach direct from Newmar, I will get the latest and greatest ordering information without having to play go-between with a dealer and Newmar!
Hope this gives an other look at a way to order a new coach and I am halfway correct.

From what I have read here, you cannot to it the way you have stated. You must start with and be referred by a dealer before Michelle will work with you.

We've ordered two DSDP's, a 2000 and 2002. The first one we ordered through a local dealer without shopping around, the second I got bids from another dealer in the mid west. The one in the mid west was cheaper by $2,000 which wasn't enough to justify the distance involved.

This is not correct. We met with Michelle a month ago and had not talked to a dealer. Just call Newman and ask for her. She will set up an appointment. You can spend several hours with her, we took about 3 1/2 hours. Then about 3 days later she emailed me the "specials" approval or denial list. I then called her and asked her to send it to 3 different dealers. The dealers them came back with my purchase price.
You can't order a Newman direct. In fact Michelle will not tell you any of the costs for your specials.
