Details on the new faucet and which coach it is out of would be very much appreciated as we are putting together our specials list right now on ordering a 3436 and would definitely upgrade just to keep from having problems. Thanks for the information.

Yep the VT shower facet is a low end unilever. If you are working with 60psi house pressures it works marginally well. At the 30-40 nominal psi we put in our coaches it does not work well. I think the hot/cold shower issue is a problem in most RVs.

You do learn to work with the lever. Would be nice if Newmar does have an option to improve that.

Here is what they are installing.

Service tech was told this is from the DS line but wasn't really sure.

Don't know what color; could not find a color on the box.

Could you elaborate a bit, e.g. model, where you got it, etc.

Thanks!

It is a Rozin from Amazon. The holes are 6 inches apart, my old valve they were 4 inches apart. I drilled another hole and used a 3 inch piece of a cutting board as a mount/cover plate.

That's great news. I added it to my specials list. Hopefully Newmar doesn't deny it because it isn't worded correctly or something crazy like that.

Do you know if the install was done from the inside of the shower or was access required from the rear??

Also....was the piping connection pex push-on? Maybe you have a pic of the rear of the old handle??

I too have the Ventana handle.......it would be nice to change it out

Why would they deny it if it can be done and you are paying for it?

Can you specify that handle by part number or pictures? If so I would make sure the finish matches what you want.

The old parts are in the coach. I'll take a look when I get it back later today.

AFAIK it wall all installed from the inside. I'll ask the tech when I see him later.

VT shower control

Great info. . .now it will help all of us if you would be so kind to post the part numbers used/needed for this conversion.
We too have a VT; 4369. My wife Anita actually received minor burns (like a nasty sunburn) when the HOT water caught her by surprise while she was attempting to adjust to comfort with the overly sensitive standard unit.

Kind regards,
Eric & Anita

The part number is on the box in the pic above. I would check if it is available in different finishes if that is a factor for you.

I too have this issue on my new VT 4037. I even mentioned this problem during FPU/CPU and they said there is nothing you can do about it. I would love to have mine changed, I'm a woos with water too hot! :( I also can't believe they put a level in a shower like this, too easy to bump into. Should be rotary IMHO.

Any tips on changing it if it can be done DIY that would be great. I could even have a plumber do it if needed. Is it any different from any other bathroom shower knob? Is asking a local plumber to do this a bad idea?
