question about toilet sensor lights - Tecma Thetford system

Our 2010 Dutch Star has a monitor wall panel for this system and typically has a green light when the black tank is below 60%. The indicator light changes to orange when it is over that as a precaution to monitor the tank status to keep from over filling. We do not put any toilet paper in the toilet and we use an additive to break down the solid matter. I back flush the black tank approximately every 3-4 dumps. Recently, however, the orange indicator is coming on after just a few flushes with an empty tank. I do watch the tank status for all the tanks on the Newmar control panel in the front of the coach to ensure I don't allow the tanks to overfill. I am not sure if this is just a monitor light problem and a new wall panel is needed. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you handle it?

I have experienced a similar issue on my midship head. However, it seems more intermittent. There are 3 colors I believe, green, orange, and red. Regardless of the indicator lights the head will stop the ability to flush when it is full. At that time the red color will be visible. The only way you can then flush it in an emergency is to hold the flush button for at least 8 seconds. This however will only do a total of 5 flush events after which no flushing can be done without dumping the tank.

Anyway, I hope this is of some help.
