Hi Dutch Star Don,
Reading a few of your high volume of posts it's obvious you have a LOT more experience with all things RV than I, but I thought I would pass along what I've learned so far with our 2014 bath and a half Dutch Star. When we first picked up our Dutch Star last July it came as an unpleasant surprise to find that when the flush pad went red there was no override to get even one more flush. And this happened at an apparent 2/3 full black tank according to the monitor panel. On our first warranty visit to Nappanee in August last year I had them look at the situation. They reported finding that the 'F' level sensor related to the monitor panel wasn't functioning so they repaired it. They even filled it with water and showed me that the monitor panel indicated 'F'. Cool! I departed assuming that the 'F' would come on at least a few flushes before the dreaded red light appeared. However, that didn't happen. The first time the tank filled once we were back on the road the red light came on again at 2/3 full. We've just been living with it and dumping at 2/3. About a month ago I discovered that our automatic leveling system seems to settle out with the driver's side a little high. If I manually lower the driver's side so that my carpenters level is happy the 'F' indicator actually comes on 3 to 6 flushes before the red light. So my next move is to study the HWH manual so I can recalibrate the auto level. However, I can't do that until I get a leak at the left rear jack fixed a couple weeks from now. As I recall the monitor panel sensors are on the driver's side of the black tank. So if I had a lean that set the driver's side high, the liquid in the tank might not get to the monitor panel 'F' sensor before the Dometic sensor/float indicates full. That would happen if the Dometic sensor is centrally located or, perhaps, even toward the passenger side of the black tank. Not sure where the Dometic sensor is. Just relating how coach lean has affected my situation.
