We have a 2004 DSDP 4025. There are 2 things that I don't understand. We love the A/C and Heat system (in the front part of the coach)as it is very quiet and the thermostat is much more like a house unit as far as keeping the temps in a comfort range BUT the A/C unit in the rear is too noisy and sseems like it has a vibration or something. The tech said something about "harmonics" and that sometimes they just can't find the cause or effect a solution. The other concern is that my curbside of the coach is a full 1 1/2 inches lower than the drivers side. Spartan says the ride height is set properly. It still feels like I am leaning to the right. It drives fine with no pulling or drifting problems. I don't remember my old coach being like that but it only had 2 slides. Has anyone got any suggestions or comments regarding the A/C noise in the rear or the "leaning-to-the-right" attitude?
Thank You,
Chris

My rear air is much louder than what the front seems too. I guess it's the nature of the beast. Oddly enough, the rear is always much colder too. I don't know about your ride height issue so can offer little there.

to sundog;
i have an 02 mountain aire pusher and have had both ac's replaced under warranty. the rear still makes more noise than front but that may be because the front unit has more area to disperse any vibration. in voth old units the fan/squirrel cage were loose on the shafts. i don't remember the ac's on my 2000 being noisy.
ride height; should be same on both sides unnless you have a way out of balance that is effecting height. i went to charlotte mich. to spartan to have a bunch of warranty work done and they treated us like royalty. your 04 is still under warranty. there are only a few shops authorized to do spartan warranty work here in the northeast, boston, which i why i went to factory. there's plenty to see out there ., so a trip may be worthwhile.
hope this info is helpful------thanks ajbjrvers

My front air was the noisy one. The dealer fixed it. The tech said there was a hose that was laying on the roof under the shroud. He reattached it so it wouldn't touch the roof. It was causing a buzzing sound. A camper next to me asked if my surge guard was making a buzzing sound, that was when I realized that it was coming from the front air.

if you have the spartan mountainmaster chassis you have only 1 ride height adjustment in the rear. the front has 2. you can adjust the leaning by adjusting the front ride height valves. start by parking on a level surface and measure right and left front ride heights. look at the sway bar grommets, if one is smashed flat while the other 3 are normal, the sway bar may be out of adjustment. it may be a good idea to loosen the sway bar nuts while you are measuring the left and right heights. if you do not feel comfortable moving the ride height rods you can have a garage make the adjustment for you.
