Well, I'm interested in your upgrades. I will be ordering a new coach and have added several non-normally available options which are power window shades all around, electrically heated floor, dual rear cameras and monitors and Spartan OEM built in tire pressure/temperature monitor. So what other spiffy upgrades have you added.

LUG_NUT: that is an impressive list, for sure. How does one find out about these "non-normally available options"?? I have never seen any reference to Spartan offerrings, but certainly would think the pressure/temperature monitor built in would be superior to aftermarket add-ons. As for that electric floor...I sure hope you don't develop a short, or we'll have to start calling you "twinkle toes" ED

The Spartan options for each chassis is listed on their website. You just have to compare which options are included with the model of motorhome you are choosing and then request the additional. The only thing is the MH manufacturer has to custom order the specific chassis for your coach. Maybe not bad, as you don't just get one that has been waiting in a field.

Aren't some of those options standard on the coach you are thinking of buying, the ESSEX.
The electric shades sound like something I might add plus a camera on passenger side into "B" side of monitor. It still wouldn't have what you will have on a new ESSEX. "007"

The camera issue is one that I came on last year in Oregon. I met a man with a new Magna Country Coach. I asked him about the side cameras and he told me this. "One thing I don't like is the side camera (right or left) take over the screen when the directional signal is on. This does not allow me to see the rear view for minimum pass clearance. So I turn the directional off breifly to see the clearance." I test drove a unit with this on, an '07 Essex and the same thing was present. Additionally I like TripTek. How can I use one monitor for rear view, side view, navigation and TripTek. Also the standard camera is a superior night view camera over the more expensive remote control unit.

I have my monitor on all the time , its in the normal rear view location like your car. Won't work off directionals would wire as split screen on monitor showing pass an rear at same time. I got hit by four wheeler on pass side once would like it not happen again. "007"

To. All without side view cameras,
There has to be an after market set-up available to add a camera on each side and an additional split screen monitor that can be left on all the time with the rear camera,
All the new rigs with side views from factory have the rear camera blocked when using directionals so you see only blinking side.
There has to be a set-up that can be improvised to do the job.
Let all interested parties go into search mode and maybe we will find something.
