A Progressive EMS has a built in surge protector. It also monitors amp draw, voltage, and cycles. It shuts down the power if any of that goes out of range and won't allow power into the coach if the supply is not wired properly with ground and neutral. It will automatically come back on when power is 'clean' with a delay to allow A/C head pressure to reduce so you don't burn out a compressor on restart. A very good investment, especially in an all electric coach.
Progressive is also a wonderful company to work with, their products have lifetime free replacement and technical support. I had a board go out in mine and they have been very supportive in getting it back in service.

Thanks for the kind words. My wife and I have worked hard and saved & invested a big percent of our money over the years. We have been lucky to have some of our investments pay off and now be able to afford to buy some nice things.

Once we bought the Ventana in 2006, we made the next step and built a place to store it and our other "toys" . The barn is 54 by 90, with 3 seperate areas - 2/3 is heated storage, 1/3 heated shop/office. Above the shop/office we built a bar for us to entertain in.

Surge Guard

Just a heads up to folks thinking about installing a Surge Guard similar to the one Steve installed in the pictures above. Camping World has a holiday sale going for the next few days: Hard-wired Surge Guards - Product - Camping World

The hardwired 50 amp. is $225 with free shipping for Good Sam members.
