Since we bought our 2001 MADP last July, I've been trying to figure out the purpose of this wall box on the left side of the living room J couch:
MobileMe Gallery

The wall box looks like this thermostat:
Amazon.com: Aube by Honeywell TH115-A-240D/U Electric Heating 7-Day Programmable Thermostat: Home Improvement

My RV is in storage, so I can't check for sure.

Is it a radiant floor heating thermostat? It's 120VAC in and it looks like DC out.

TechWriter if you go to this LINK and input your coach build number ( serial number) it will bring up information about your coach and materials that were used to build it. My coach build number is 700963 add CS, may find in cabinet or closet on sheet of paper.
If you have radiant heat under floor would say its 120v the DC is to operate the thermostat control.
If it was a add on after original build give Newmar a call or contact e-mail to them with your coach information.
