Radio not turning on.

I have a 1999 DSDP with a Sony head unit and a seperate C/D changer. It won't turn on at all. I checked all the fuses and pushed every button for the TV/ Aug. and have run out of ideas. Rather ask questions first than bring it to an audio store and have to fork out some cash.

Is there an independent switch on the dash that may kill the power separate from the head unit? My cousin's older Bounder is like that.

Your Brochure in the link I provided does not show anything on the Sony radio but at the tail end of link shows all your wiring and fusing for your coach.
I would check that out for bad fuse, pull fuse and reset back in its connections and you may have a fuse feeding into radio back of it that could be blown. Also check screws for loose connections on fuse panels and inyour load center and your transfer switch screws over time will loosen from road vibration. Results of loose screws.
When you get fixed just be aware the off button may have to be pushed twice for complete disconnect of radio when you are not using it.

Fuse Location

Hello
You might check in the rear outside compartment where your power cord is.
There are a few fuses located in there in single fuse holders an one is for the
radio. Hope this helps you fix your problem. Bob

Not that I'm aware of. I've pressed every button and switch I could see.

My 99, doesn't have the separate CD changer , but it has a Sony radio with removable face plate and a fuse that plugs into the back of the radio.
That fuse is only accessible by removing the radio, from the dash and unplugging the wiring from the radio.
I posted pictures for another DSDP owner detailing the removal. I'll track down the post and link you to it.

EDIT: Here's the link.

Thanks Skip426, I did check that fuse. It's still good. I don't know what else to try other than bringing it to a radio shop.

If you had the radio out did you check the wiring for 2 power feeds , one for radio memory ( battery power ) and a second ignition power feed.

I have been struggling with this radio problem for a week. I knew it must be a fuse, but could not locate it. Thanks, Arizona Bob!
