Re-Arranged Electrical Bay On Newmar Ventana LE 3436
The electrical bay on our current MoHo was a small and crowded, I suppose a consequence of a DP at a shortish 34'. I wanted to add 'inline' power protection as opposed to the smaller less affective pedestal unit I had and also wanted less bladed connections. The electrical bay had two outlets in the bottom, against the back wall that took up a lot of room too, making coiling the shore power cord hard. I removed the two outlets boxes; a CATV outlet and a 120VAC outlet. placed a double male connector on the end of the CATV cable going to the box and left it at that. I removed the 120VAC outlet and box, then put an industrial extension cord plug on the end of the 120VAC wires. The electrical bay also has a black plastic panel hiding a bunch fuses, breakers and solenoids. I replaced it with a clear plastic panel so I could easily inspect things there. I cut the shore power cord and placed the power protection device on the back wall. The shore power cable now coils up much easier with the extra room.
