As Dennis45 mentioned, it is very important that you identify the type of roof that you have. If your roof is indeed Brite-Tek, it is a fleece backed TPO.

Dicor has produced a number of useful videos which can help with your roof care needs. One shows you how to determine if your roof is EPDM roof or TPO. Additional videos demonstrate a variety of roof related subjects such as Cleaning and Protecting your RV Roof, How to Coat a Fiberglass Roof, Sealing a TPO roof, and so on. You can find these videos at www.youtube.com/c/DicorCorporation . Remember to be cautious if you are working on a RV roof; they can be slippery and you don’t want to fall.

The following link is a PDF that should be a useful tool for your roof care needs. It should answer the questions that you have about replacing your roof. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact Dicor at 574-264-2699.

Good luck with your roof replacement! Safe and happy travels!

The oscillating electric tool works great...
Used it on my old Winnie, the old caulking was black & hard...
You can turn the blade 90 degrees on some seams...
Cleaned with rubbing alcohol & applied the white Dicor...
The self leveling Dicor will level out but takes a little time to do so...
I used a putty knife to smooth it out a bit...

Harbor Freight sells an electric oscillating tool (Chicago) for around 20 bucks..

Agree with vettenuts. Cleaning with mineral spirits gets the surface clean, but can leave a somewhat oily residue that inhibits bonding. Wipe down with denatured alcohol after mineral spirits to remove residue. Plus, the alcohol flashes off quickly.
