Hi All:
Does anyone know how the rear bumper, that is supposed to pop open, works? I have a 1994 Kountry Aire and I can't for the life of me figure it out. There is supposed to be sewer hose storage in there if I'm not misinformed. It shifts forward when i push on it but that is all. Sounds like a dumb question I know but it is bugging me all the same. Thanks.

Is this on a fifth wheel? If so, we had a 2000 Mountain Aire and on it there was a handle in one of the rear skirt compartments that you would pull to unlock it. In our's there was the spare tire and batteries. Hope this may help you.

Yup, that's where it is in our '05 Mtn Aire fiver - right side rear storage compartment, waaay in the back of the compartment and painted black - hard to see.

It is a motorhome but I'll bet the process is likely the same. We just acquired it and I haven't had time to probe the depths of all the compartments. The previous owner was not so good at keeping documentation so there are a lot of things I'm having to guess at. We're heading to Florida next week and I'll have a chance to look for things in the warm sunshine instead of here in the cold rain. Thanks for the input. I'll post if I find the elusive handle.

Welcome hsoble to the Newmar forum and irv2.
I had a 98 MH and there was a spare tire mounted in slide that once released the entire bumper will pull out. Also has small storage for oil and such.
If its to hard to pull out may want to spray some lube on slide bars from under neath the coach.
Enjoy the forums and just ask if anymore question arise.
