There are two speaker switches in the rear of my coach. One for A/V system and one for dash. Neither works.

Newmar can't provide wiring diagrams.

Any help on where to start is greatly appreciated.

Hi JavaJelly! If your setup is the same as our 2006 DSDP was, one switch is for the left speaker and one is for the right speaker. I believe you can't get the TV back there. To make them work, (I am not sure which way is on) turn on your radio and find the fade control (same area as balance). Adjust the fade all the way to the rear and go back and turn the switches off and on to figure out which way is what. If it is now working adjust the fade towards the front until you get the level of sound you want from front and back. Of course now you just flip off the switches when you do not want to hear the rear. Let me know how you make out. Paul

Thanks. I will try that whenever I get my coach back. Seems like a waste to have left & right switches on speakers only 5 feet apart.

Newmar Customer Service told me that switches were one for dash, one for A/V. Like w/my first coach, I sure wish there were better operational documentation. It is a sad state when Newmar Customer Service doesn't know.

I have to agree JavaJelly. The documentation for such a complicated unit is less then marginal in my opinion.

For those that will at least try to trace and repair a problem you are pretty much on your own.

The documentation does not even really fully explain equipment operation. (Example: On my coach there is no explanation, that I can find, of how the water and septic valves work. I have figured it out but I have owned two RVs before this one which helped).

To Newmar's credit, the documentation is far superior to the docs I received with my other two RVs.

Scott, all answers are correct. Tweeking of the radio audio may be required, but they will probably work well. Many of these type of operational features are not listed in any manuals.
