RECALL - Wipers may not fully Contact Windshield

I received an NHTSA email notification this morning about this recall.

Quote:
Summary

Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Newmar Mountain Aire, London Aire, Essex, and King Aire motorhomes. These vehicles are equipped with windshield wipers that may have an incorrect bend, possibly preventing the wiper arms from properly contacting the windshield.

Remedy

Newmar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the wiper arms, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin August 8, 2018.

Potential Number of Units Affected 77
https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls?nhtsaId=18V387

I couldn’t find anything about this recall on the Newmar COMNET site. In particular I was looking for the list of affected coaches.

I don't know if our coach is on the recall list, but it should be! Tried to use the wipers the other day and they were virtually useless. Fortunately, I was just trying to use the washer/wiper function to clear a path through the bugs on the windshield rather than driving in a heavy rain.

We'll see if the recall notice is in the mailbox when we get home next week.

We had the occasion to use our wipers for the first time last month and the drivers side was nearly useless. It contacts the glass fine when stopped, but at 60 MPH only wipes the top few inches in front of the driver. Passenger side seem to work fine.
