Anything special about installing them or is it similar to installing a residential washer/dryer set?

No, just haven't been able to travel due to the late DW's liver cancer. Now that she's gone I hope to travel more.

Had the Splendide in the last three units a span of seventeen years and never gave anchoring them down a second thought.
Good Luck and keep us posted please. "Q"

Would you mind sharing with us another "shaker" video. This time on spin cycle but with the shipping bolts removed like they should have been.

That would definitely do it. Surprised it took the manufacturers Rep to figure it out.

Just to share with anyone else in the same situation... we ended up ordering the Whirlpool stackable pair after all. Washer WFW3090GW and dryer LDR3822PQ.

Reason is the cabinet in the Ventana does not have a lot of extra depth and it seems like the factory made the dimensions a close fit for the Whirlpool. The Whirlpool dryer is 20-3/4" deep while the Splendide dryer is 22-3/4". Losing two inches at the rear would mean deforming the dryer vent host to make it fit, according to my measurements.

YMMV. If space permitted, I would prefer the Splendide pair, but considering how much market share Whirlpool has I'm expecting the vast majority are trouble free.

I'll report back in a few weeks after the install is done with more details and whether all the space at the rear was in fact necessary.
Been through all the continental states and provinces. Loving life on the road.

The only thing I can offer, based on many conversations with many folks who've had Washers/Dryers (we have not but will be getting) is to "NOT BUY A COMBINATION WASHER/DRYER" but buy Separate Units.

As for me, I'll take their advice...best of luck and happy clean britches!!!
