Recommendations for washer / dryer?
Good day everyone. We're shopping for a laundry setup for the new Ventana. Have the prep but not the factory installed set, which from what I see in other coaches, Newmar is using the Whirlpool washer WFW3090GW and the dryer LDR3822PQ. Most of the search results here are involving negative experiences, but of course that's normal that people without problems seldom start a thread just to say so.
Before I order the appliance(s), I thought I would check in for recommendations... go with the units above, or Splendide... or ???
I'm not really an appliance expert, I'm more comfortable in the engine bay. The idea of the single appliance appeals to me as a basically hands free operation start to finish, but the stacked pair clearly will have a performance advantage.
Thank you for your time and for sharing your thoughts.

Splendide. Not cheap but reliable.

Splendide, but go for the separate washer and dryer. Faster dry times.

Ariston stackable separate washer & dryer by Splendide.
We originally had a Splendide washer/dryer combo unit and it took way too long.

Congratulations on your new Ventana. We have the Whirlpool stackables our 2015 Ventana and have not (yet?) experienced a problem. I don't have personal experience with Splendide. We like that we can shorten the laundry time by doing a separate wash load and a separate dry load at the same time. Although, a friend has the all in one unit Splendide and he seems to like it. They all seem to get the job done.

We had Whirlpool washer and dryer in our last RV and right now we have Splendide Ariston washer and dryer and like them just a tad better.

Don’t know what we had in the 2017, but she liked it. The whirlpool setup we have in the 2018 is not good. We will not get that model again if they offer it next year, and might even replace it sooner as it’s at the dealer now for repair of possible broken springs. Thanks everyone for the splendid comments. LOL

Ours doesn't shake that much. We have the same setup. Kind of depends on what is inside and how it is distributed across the drum.
While we were staying at a RV park just outside of Santa Fe I contracted with a coach detailing service to wash our rig. Before he went up on the roof, I told him that we were doing the laundry and that the coach might shake a bit during the spin cycle. When he came down off of the roof he thanked me for the warning. Initially he thought that there was an earthquake going on. [emoji15]

I personally like the automatic soap dispenser deployment option.
Mine does not shake nearly like yours does. Call Newmar. Maybe if they get enough complaints they will move away from these. I’m waiting for my door switch to break.

Sounds like Splendide customers are happy, I think we'll get a pair of the stackables. I see LG makes both combo units and stackable pairs as well, but they are not competitive in price with Whirlpool or Splendide. GE makes a pair also, but seems like they are not getting any market share, and I don't think I want to be a test pilot.

The coach is at Freedom RV in Tucson getting other issues taken care of while we enjoy the blizzard in Maine. Came home for Christmas, now can’t get out. They are having a whirlpool rep meet us on Wednesday in Tucson. Mother Nature willing, we’ll be there too. Service writer thinks it’s broken springs. At first we thought it was clothes distribution too, but after at least 20 loads of exactly the same behavior, I don’t think so.
Freedom initially bolted it directly to the floor, but it didn’t help.

Wow, we’ve experienced the bad door switch already. Next time this Whirlpool shoots craps, I’m putting in a Splendide. Had great luck with our last one. Shame on Newmar.

I would definitely stay away from whirlpool - in fact if you can, delete ALL the whirlpool appliances! Our ice maker had a problem splashing water out freezing the interior. Switch on washer was bad. I am sure the microwave will be next!
