Recommendations On Dolly for an F150

I have been debating back and fourth between 4 wheel down and a dolly for my 2012 F150. From months of research I know the upsides and downsides for each towing type so I'm good on the that information.

By next fall both my 2012 F150 and my 2013 Ford Fusion Energi will be changed out for new equipment so towing with a dolly seems like a good temporary option until I stabilize my vehicles.

Is there such a dollly on the market that is hefty enough to do this job? I'm looking for advice on a dolly that can accommodate the weight and width of a 2012 Ford F 150 supercab 4 x 4 with a 750lb quad in the bed. The truck weights 5,500 lbs so with a quad I'm looking at up to 6,500lbs and the width is 79.5. I'm afraid at that weight and width it may be too big and heavy for a dolly, and 4 wheel down might be the only option. We have seen F150s on a dolly before. Any advice and recommendations is much appreciated. Some may recommend not to attempt this configuration but it is only an option if it can legally be done,.

Thanks!

Hi,
It's really the front axle weight and outside tire width that is important. The overall weight is important, but what actually goes on the dolly is most important. Go to Kar Kaddy SS | Demco Products Go to the SPECS tab. Go to the bottom of the page and read about models 81/2' wide KK370SB or KK460SS. You will need to contact Demco to learn more.
