Red light on macerated

Question, my red light has come on in the half bath. Both toilets still flush. Completely emptied the tank and it went off for about a half day then came back on and stays on. No yellow light at all .
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.
Title should read macerator

Iím going to guess that you either have a bad black waste tank float or a grounding issue with the float or the yellow wire that goes from the float to the toilet control box. Attached is the wiring diagram for the toilet and float. This would be consistent with it not showing a yellow led as the resistance is going directly to a high value. It could also be a stuck float, but more info on when it happens is needed. When it came on after only a half day, was the coach driven during that time (ie did the water slosh around and push the float up and then get stuck).

Did you cycle through the tank level gauge on the control panel? I had this same problem and cycling through the tank level reads reset the lights

What do you mean by "cycle through"?

Yes did that. My gauge up front was swapped out for a new one early on.
Thanks

OK, hereís where I am now. We were dry camped for 6 days in a parking lot at the Cajun Rally and the black tank got FULL! I think the float may have hung up? Guessing here.. anyway I dumped the black and filled it with water twice. After the second dump with clean water everything cleared up. No red light no yellow light just green and all is working.
Weíll see..
Thanks for your answers, thatís the great thing about iRV2 and this forum. Thereís always someone who has been there before.

Bill.....if you get stuck again with this issue, the black tank "FULL" sensor is mounted on top of the back tank, just behind the pegboard wall. When mine hung up, I turned it to remove it and it started working again. So.....giving it a whack in an emergency, would probably get it working again.

The Ventana does not have a yellow light, it goes straight to red.

On my DS the lights for both toilets work together, yellow in both bathrooms is warning of getting close to full, red in both stops flushing in both toilets. Important to note I have two macerater toilets in my 4369 floor plan, other DS have one gravity flow toilets in the 1/2 bath.
If both of yours a macerater toilets, I would think you should have a light on in both bathrooms .

Hi Stuart,

the 40ft DS also has two macerator toilets (at least as of 2016 models).

The red lights on the new coaches must be more than just a ball or plunger connection. When my dealer managed to re-calibrate my black tank to full at less than a quarter of a tank, the red light came on when the monitor said full, even though there was a LOT of room in the tank. Never even saw the yellow light. It went straight to red and turned the toilets off. Not Fun!! Once I figured out how to re-calibrate the tank to properly understand empty and full, I get yellow at 3/4 like it should and red at full. YAY!!!

But I have a phenomenon that is kind of weird to me. I get to 3/4 of a tank, see the yellow, dump and rinse with the black tank flush to 15 to 20 minutes. Light says yellow. Measure stays at just above 3/4. Somewhere between 3 and 8 hours later the level on the monitor is down and it all works as it should. I assume that is when the wall of the tank dries out. Next move, I plan to do the Dawn and Calgon thing as an experiment. perhaps there is a small amount of crud on the walls that needs cleaning. Weird though that the monitor seems to start working is such a delayed fashion.

We had some random false full readings, cured it by giving the black tank a dose of detergent and driving for a while. I think the electronic level sensor system is sensitive to build up of residue on the tank walls.

Maybe it has changed, but on mine there are 2 different sensors. The one for the toilet green/yellow/red is provided by Dometic as part of the control module and is a float installed on the top of the black tank. The tank level sensors are mounted on the outside of the 3 tanks and vary depending on the manufacturer of the monitor. I have installed SeeLevel on mine, but it has nothing to do with the toilet module.
