Outstanding! Great information, thanks for taking the time to compile,it all. Just a ball park, but what did it cost you for all these parts?

That would be a "ooooops". No oil there!

One I forgot on my list is the engine coolant. Replaced it in '11 when the hoses between engine and AquaHot burst twice in same yr. Replaced hoses and coolant.

You got 27.6L oil in your motor?
I put 24L in mine and it's at full on dipstick .

I can't remember where I found:
7.3 US Gal, 27.6 L, 32000Km, 500hrs or yearly as a guideline...
and I don't know exactly how much I used the last couple changes. I used to buy the 5L jugs and now I buy the 19.6L pails. I dump about 20L in and then I start adjusting per stick.
24 L is definitely in the ball park.
BTW same with hydraulic, spec. says 2 gal, not quite full, mine needs about 2.1..

How did you change the hydraulic filter without losing most of the fluid in the reservoir above it?

In my coach there is an "internal" filter inside the reservoir that needs to be changed also. You change the hydraulic fluid also. In my case, about $20 for the spin-on and $56 for the internal filter (paid too much here) and $54 for 5 gal pail of AW46 oil, of which I used about 2.1 gal. There is no drain plug, you loosen the spin on and it starts to pour...

How often do you replace the Front Hub oil? Spartan recommends yearly, but a friend who ran a fleet of buses thought that was silly.

To be honest, never done. The oil looks brand new thru the glass and has never leaked. My friend mechanic said don't touch it...
When I'm finally all done with my never-ending list of things to fix, I will want to do it though.

This task is easy. Either raise the front so the tires are off the ground and remove the plug or use a turkey baster and suck the oil out. They only hold about 8 ozs.

You obviously don't have the same hydraulic system that we have......With a 9 quart reservoir sitting above the filter, and no way to stop it from draining out the removed filter assembly, it's a little more difficult than you might think.
