I have the 4523 floor plan, with the passenger side love seat.
I want to replace the love seat with a European recliner/ottoman. I have been told that the only way to get room for a recliner is to remove the drivers-side couch. We really do not want to do this.
Can anyone tell me why the passenger side couch removal is a non-starter?

I don't see why you can't remove it. Getting it out the door might be the hard part. You may have to partially disassemble it.
I took my sofa out of my gas MA. But, I put it back as the chairs I had were to big and I really wanted a extra bed just in case. So, I removed the chair and put a Euro style chair and ottoman. I got it from RV Surplus for $300 (lots of assemble required).
It should be noted that the sofa is only held down with 4 very long screws!

I don't see any reason why the passenger side love seat can't be removed unless there is something under it.
When I ordered my DSDP, I deleted the passenger side sofa and had a stereo cabinet installed behind the passenger seat.
That left 50" between the stereo cabinet and the computer desk.
My Ekornes euro recliner fits in that 50" space just fine.

We were told that it could not be done because that slide is not a floor level slide.

Ahhhhh, there must be an ugly step or unfinished area under there.
If that's the case, then it will take some $$$ to finish that area, but the unlevel floor may be too objectionable.

OK Tom - what does that mean? It isn't like the other side that has a rug that moves in & out. So what is under it? And why does that make it non-dooable (is that a word).

I'm not familar with your floorplan but we have a double slide at the front and removed the passenger side couch. The floor on that side is nat a flat floor so the Euro-lounger sits on the main floor and when the front slides are in there is room for it on the main floor with no problem. On the raised slide on the passenger side we have something like a dresser full of drawers that goes almost the entire length of the area. There is carpet under the couch and the couch was held down by very long bolts plus seatbelts. All were easily removed. Our couch was in pieces so easy to take out the door. The Euro-lounger we replaced the couch with was bought at a furniture store and came thru the door easily.

Hi Dale - there is NO carpet on the passenger side slide. That is the side I want to put the recliner on.

Doc, what's under the sofa?
Subwoofer or other equipment?
Flat floor slide?
Do you see any reason why carpet could not be installed?

Let me try to explain what I can see about the space under the sofa.
There is no carpet. The sofa appears to float free of the floor as the slide moves in & out. Directly under the sofa is a slide-out drawer of maybe 3 inches depth attached to the sofa itself. The floor appears to be tiled all the way to the wall but I can't see where the sofa joins the wall so I'm not sure.
Hopefully I have explained it more clearly this time. 
Or maybe just muddied the waters more
