Remove border paper, and not damage sub surface?

We are updating our '07 KSDP 3912. Recently added Smart Tile backsplash, the cranberry border needs to go. I observed that it is just wall paper border, however I am not sure how to remove it and not damage the wall surface underneath it.

Anyone done that, suggestions or ideas please.Click image for larger version

I think the adhesive underneath is a pressure sensitive water based acrylic. It pretty tough and dont think it will release with water. I'd try using a hair dryer at a corner to soften the adhesive. Hopefully it will pull off.
Mind you I've never done this but this is what I'd try.
BTW, we want to tile our backsplash too and would like to know how you adhered the tile to the vinyl covered luan?

Seems to hold reasonably well, ours has only been on about 72 hrs. And, I peeled 4 tiles off this morning and repositioned them. Real happy with the outcome.
Cons: lots of expensive waste. The patterns are so discrete that you can't take a scrap from one sheet and up use it somewhere else. Between bifocals and deep cabinet was a gymnastic exercise to,get,up. I am 6-2. 230. Not small.

So I had a house once that was full of wallpaper......We diluted liquid fabric softner with water and sprayed the wallpaper until wet, let it sit and it pulled off.

I have NO idea if it will work on the wall material in your coach as I have never tried it. And obviously in the house it was drywall.

Give it a try first in a discreet area to make sure it won't discolour the RV wallboard.

Good Luck!
