I have an 05 Kountry Star 3910 and I need to get to the TV conections on the back of the set. Anyone know how to get the TV out or does that wood trim panel on the back come off? I see two vinyl covered srcews on each side of the cabinet. Do they have anything to do with the removal, or does the from wood trim pop off somehow? I don't want to pry on it and break something.

I have the same coach as you. If you have long skinny arms, it is possible to cut the rear opening enough to get to the plugs for the TV. The way I look at it nobody is going to see the hole anyway.

The other way is to remove the TV. This is a 2 person job. There are four screws (two on each side) that hold the front wood trim on. The passenger side is easy, you can see the plastic covers. The driver's side, for me, was another story. The bottom screw is under the plastic cover. The top screw is behind the door housing the DVD, SAT receiver, KVH on/off switch and was a pain. Once the front trim is off it becomes clear where the screws are to remove the TV.

If it was me, and I did not have long skinny arms, I'd find a friend who does and will accept a few beers in payment.

If you do a search on 3910 front TV or something like that, you should find others who have done this with most of the details.

I did think about putting a slit in the back screen and reaching through that slit with the wires I need to install (s video). I don't think anyone would ever notice the slit in the screen way up there in front.

I would remove the two or four screws with leather covers to get wood trim off TV face.
The leather buttons pop off or turn and back off screws.
First though you need to remove TV selector switch and VCR by removing the cabinet door so you can slip out units to gain access to hole for cable that you are going to run to TV.
Your TV instruction booklet should tell you what cables you will need for VIDIO signal that you may already have and what RCA cables you will need for AUDIO cables.
When you get wood trim off most TV's have a metal plate screwed to bottom of TV which is than screwed to bottom of floor thru this metal plate.

How do I know all this I'VE done it many times.

I have been looking at my 97 DSDP up front TV and simply cannot find the srews to remove that thing. No caps, no bulges under the vynal, no excessible space around the TV, no angled screws in the face frame, no obvious screws in the side cabinets, ------nothing. I'd sure like to hear from someone who has tackled putting in a flat screen on this model.

Do you have wood buttons on face frame.

Maybe a call to Newmar Repair Center might help.

One other thing just thought of if you look into back side of face frame are there any L brakets screwed into sidewalls inside box.

007, there is nothing on the inside from what I can see. TV sits tight to the front. It's got me puzzled. I'm also thinking of a lift tv across from the slide, but cost may prohibit this. PIA has a unit like mine (97 DSDP)and had posted earlier, but I don't recall if he said how he got his face frame off. Anyone else had any such experience????????????

I have a 2004 DSDP. The wood bezel/trim around the front of my TV is held in by 4 screws. Two of the screws are on the bottom and have buttons over them that pop off. Then there is one each screw inside the left and right side cabinets. these screws are at the very front of the inside on the cabinet. Once I pulled the 4 screws the bezel was still tight in place. I had to yank on it fairly good to get it come off.

Tom, I almost have to suspect that the ONLY screws holding the face frame in place are the ones you're talking about. There are four inside each side cabinet which must be holding it since there is nothing on the front with caps or the like. Thanks!

I had the same problem,removed the side screws,had the TV out half way----waaaay too heavy for one person !!! Decided to cut a 2 angle into the back screen (vertical and horizontal) and used needle nose pliers to plug in the extra cables and just bent the screen back. Getting the TV out with all the other cables connected is not worth it.

Tony,
The ones on my setup, with the 2 caps/buttons covering them, are under the outside of the TV cabinet. They go up through the cabinet floor into the trim ring
