Removing the Passenger seat lap table?

We have a 2017 Dutch Star 4369 and would like to remove the passenger seat lap table. Has anyone done this? Any suggestions?

Use an allen wrench to loosen the set screw and slide it off. You can cut the square stock a bit so it does not stick out and wack your ankle when walking by.

We put it back on when traveling and off again when parked and turn the chair around.

We don't plan to use it. Is the square stock removable as well?

No it is not. You have to cut it off under the seat.

We had ours cut off

Ours is a 2015. There was no way to remove short of cutting, which the dealer did for us. We're very glad we had it done. When parked, we like to keep both cockpit chairs at right angles to the coach to get the best view out of the windshield and make it all seem roomier. That desk was going to be in the way any way you angled the passenger seat except for facing straight ahead. Even when riding down the road, I like having the little space on the right of my chair. I keep a little waste basket there.

I removed the table & cut off a piece of a foam noodle & put in over the square stock to protect your ankle.

I remove the table when parked for a while so didn't cut the square metal mount. When the table is off, I cover the end with a rubber cap. I got it from Amazon - described as "Molded Rubber Cap, Fits 1" x 1" Tubes" Fits perfectly.

They must have changed the design after 2014. Once I removed the table, the mounting bracket was also removable, no cutting.

I have a 2015 DSDP 4369 that I bought used a few months ago. The previous owner removed the table and left it in the basement.
I tried to look under the seat to see about reinstalling it but could not find the square stock to mount it to.
Could someone post a picture of how it is mounted? From what RUFINIT said, I should be able to see it fairly easily or even trip over it.

One of the things done during our factory delivery week was to remove that table and cut off that post. It was done by "our" tech. He cut the post flush with the side of the chair and painted the exposed end to match the rest of the frame.

Interestingly, there is no need for that post to be as long as it is from the factory. Even shortened as it is it remains long enough that we could put the table back should we ever want to use it.

I have a 2016 and I did not have to cut mine off, it was bolted on. So I can put it back on when we trade.
