Repainted Generator Door this AM
I had problems with the clear coat on my Generator door bubbling and peeling off.
I've tried several places to match my paint code. I've emailed Sikkens twice, no response. Emailed the company that Newmar recommend, then called, left message, no response. Emailed Paint Scratch, no love. Tried APS Tower Paint Company, nope. Finally found a Sherman Williams Auto paint store here in Savannah, they tried to match the paint but the sample they mixed was too dark, while there at the store the clerk mention that there were places here in Savannah that dealt in Sikkens paint. When I fould the Sherman Williams paint was too dark I started to look on line to find a Sikkens rep. I found a link to C&D Auto Paint, they seem to have locations all over. They sent someone out to use a computer handheld device to scan the paint on my Newmar, mixed me up some cans.
So this am I spent repainting the door, While it might not be perfect, it’s a whole lot better than it was.

Thanks. Sunshine RV Park. Lots of people that have jobs that are here for long periods but the monthly rate is good and includes the electric plus it's only about 6 miles from downtown Savannah. I haven't gotten tired of exploring here yet. So will stay until I'm bored.

Wow...very nice job Afubar. I was worried after reading your screen name. 😬
DW and I will be in Savannah next April. Never been but heard from others that it is a wonderful city. I was thinking about Skidaway Island SP. it is close...but not too close.

Thanks HavingABlast. Yeah the screen name gets a lot of that. LOL
While in Savannah make sure you take one of the haunted pub crawls. Well worth the effort and time.

Good job on the paint Afubar...we have the same problem. Eventually we will be painting the entire lower sections. We're about 70% finished. We failed at matching the paint. We're as close as we could get using Nason paints. And yes, the peeling is embarrassing.
