Anyone out there had to replace a back up camera? Is this a difficult procedure?
Mine has gone wonky and needs to be replaced.

Thanks in advance.

We had ours replaced a few months ago. It was an optional Total Vision camera, and we watched the President (and developer) of the company replace it while we were in Tucson, AZ. He made it look quite simple: detach cover, wires unplug, new ones plug in.

If you are using the original equipment once again all that should need to be done is unplug the cable, remove 2 to 4 screws and replace with a new back-up camera and reconnect cable and replace screws. If you're replacing a B&W with a Color LCD like I did you might have to run an entirely new cable from front to back as well as a new camera and Monitor.

Thanks, Ted.
I have to find where to buy the camera and do the replacement. It does not look difficult.
This is the original B&W camera.

You're welcome

My old system was a ADTH and even that was replaced in December 2006 with a new replacement ADTH B&W 5" monitor and camera. If it's the same system let me know what a replacement cost for the camera would be and I'll beat that price by half and include the monitor as well. You could pay me after you get them and verify they are in great shape. I just noticed you're in Canada so shipping costs would have to be taken into account as well.

I have an email into ADTH to check on the price of the camera. I have done a few web searches and so far can not find only the camera. Thank you for the offer, I will let you know.

Ted, Nancy. I received an answer from ADTH. They say the problem is most likely the monitor - BUT they were unable to tell me how to check which is not working. They can send me a new
5 1/2" monitor for $140.00 plus tax and shipping. They did not give me price for the camera.

If you want to send me the two and I will pay for at least the shipping if they do not work.
I do not know how to give you my address via this site.
