Replace old Fantastic Fan in 04 DS to new

We have a Fan in our 04 Dutch Star that needs replacing. All our controls are on the wall, not up at the fan. Talked to the people at Fantastic Fans and they don't carry our model anymore ( model 6500). The new one is a model 3350 or 7350 if we want remote control. Was told the new models would not work with the old wall controls. Would love to be able to still use the wall controls instead on reaching up to the Fan to do all the controlling. I am hoping someone out there has had to do what we need to do and figured out how to keep our wall controller thus bypassing the reach or buying the remote control ones. Get the 7350 upgrade kit. You will be able to control it with the wireless remote (make sure you get the IR not the RF - the IR is the upgraded version and it has no problem with radio interference.) The nice thing about this fan is that it reverses and has speed control, from the remote, so no reaching up. I installed one in our previous 06 Essex and had the factory install one in our new Essex replacing the out only fan in the kitchen. The remote comes with a cradle that we mounted inside a cabinet door below the fan.

If the upgrade kit doesn't work for you you can get the entire fan.

It is a great upgrade.

You can place/mount the wireless remote where the wired one is now located. It will still be convenient and cover the hole(s) left by the wired version.

Thanks Joe and Don for your reply. We will look for the "ir" version of the 7350 model. We need to replace the whole fan. There isn't that much cost difference between the 3350 and the 7350. Again thanks for your input.
