The chrome on our mirrors is starting to bubble and flake off. Would it be cost effective to try and have them re-chromed. I don't need the mirror part just the arm and mounting bracket. Can you purchase just the arm and mounting bracket? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
We have a 02 MADP

I, too, had peeling chrome on my mirror bases (both sides, but not on the arm). The mirrors are "Velvac". I contacted the Velvac company and was able to order two bases, for around $400.00. They were easy to install and they look great. Velvac or not, find the name of the mirrors and Google them, to see if you can order replacements. By the way, the Velvac, passenger side mirror, arm and base, cost over $1000 to replace!!!!

The prices 'gripper" quoted would make me seriously consider sanding and painting.

Try looking up poweder coaters in the yellow pages. Not quite chrome but close enough for a motorhome. I would guess less than a hundred bucks.
