Replacing couch with recliners ??

We have a 2013 4338 DS with two couches in the front. We are thinking about replacing the one on the drivers side with a couple of recliners.
1) How big of a deal is it to remove the couch ? I assume it is bolted to the floor and would need to be disassembled to get out the door
2) Does the carpet in the front of the couch on the slide run back to the wall or am I looking at replacing/adding carpet ?

I figured I'd hook up with the flexsteel folks at the Tampa show next month and see what they might have and if they still have the same color as what we have now.

Thanks !

We replaced ours with two Lazyboys. The cabinet is a custom made to fit. The top of the drawer is corian that slides out to access the drawer under it.
The two Wallaway Recliners were special order so the recline handles are next to the cabinet. The seat belts from the old couch were left in place and are used to secure the chairs for travel or passengers.
Had to extend the floor to accommodate the depth of the chairs. This was done with a piece of 3/4" plywood and carpeted. The chairs are screwed to the floor using four wood screws.

Dennis, is the 3/4" floor extension simply laid on top of the original slideout floor?

The Lazyboys are excellent if the work for you. Also, I highly reccomend Lambright recliners. Comfortable, well made. There are many dealers who sell them or you can buy them direct at the factory in northern Indiana.

The floor extension was required because the recliners required an extra 4-5" (going from memory here) to allow them to miss the wall.
The piece of 3/4" plywood is the full width and just screwed on top of the OEM floor.
We had a custom Computer/TV cabinet built in opposite to the recliners. Worked out nice but if I were to do it again, I think I would move the opposing couch out a few inches and install the power lift TV behind the couch. I have seen how Newmar does this and looks good.

We also went with LazBoy's. The reason was we could actually get recliners that fit us. I'm 6'4", the better half is 5'. And since that backs are removable, they're easy to get in the coach.

Yeah, the sleeper sofa that was in the coach had to come apart to get it out. Wasn't that hard to do.

We opted for two flexsteel recliners in lieu of one of our couches when we ordered our 2013 Canyon Star. We enjoy them but Have toyed with the idea of replacing them with a jackknife or sleeper since the driver side couch is an "L" shaped unit that isn't really great for sleeping unless it is one of the small grandkids. Could be interested in your jack knife if you'll be selling it. Please feel free to send me a Personal message if you'd like. What color interior do you have, what kind of material does it have and how long is your couch?
We'll be at the Tampa show also. Thanks.

We have 2 - Villa 'Wall Hugger' swivel recliners in our coach & love them. You don't need any additional flooring added, they're super comfortable but a little high in costs. We have a side table in between them. We turn them facing forward when traveling & reposition them facing the entry door side when camping.

I'll have to measure it next time I'm over at the coach.... it's ultraleather, sort of a chocolate brown, I think the ultraleather # is 291-3610. It is the air mattress version.

RV Recliners

We made a similar swap in our 04 DS. We went with Lambright Comfort Chairs made for RVs in Topeka IN. These chairs have proven to be of excellent quality and comfort plus fit in the smaller space in the RV. There were a large selection of fabric and styles to suit your coaches color palette. The model we chose a model that had zero rear clearance so that it could sit against the wall yet still recline.
