2001 MA 3798. I have what I believe to be the stock inverters in my rig. They each are 750 watt 45 amp inverters. I need to replace them with a single pure sine wave inverter for the electronics we will be using. I have no preference in brand and need advice on how much inverter to buy. We do not plan on any extended boondock stays and will be on shore power most of the time. I'm not sure what size or brand to get. I have the standard size house battery compartment for this rig and don't plan on trying to add any more batteries somewhere in the coach. What size would you folks who've been here done that suggest?

What you have now are two converter/chargers. They are not inverters. Converters change 110 volt AC to 12 Volt DC. Which supplies the RV with 12 volt power and keeps the batteries charged. A inverter changes 12 volt DC to 110 volt AC to power your appliances when you have no shore power or generator.

I believe from your model number this is a gas chassis. If you only have two 6 volt house batteries your not going to be able to put in a very large inverter. I don't know what your trying to power. You might be better to keep your converter/chargers and just add a small inverter to power what ever it is your trying to use.

You probably have two 12v batteries looking at previous posts and the converters are what is in you picture.
Two maybe to charge your house and the other your chassis battery. They use a Bird System now for charging all the batteries.
If you have your Vin# we maybe able to look up what was installed in your coach unless Newmar already has given you that information.
Here is a Brochure and Owners Guide for your coach.
In my signature below are QT's links with more info for your coach and in
QT's # 3 there is a section for inverter/converter installations.

This is what I came up with your number 97540cs.
ANYTHING THAT IS HIGH LIGHTED WILL DISPLAY.
Look at the Tech Bulletins for your electrical info.
It does show a 2000 watt inverter in electrical section.
Not sure if the link will stay alive so you may have to input it on the COM_NET Link again.

Thanks...I'll have a look when I get home. From what you see, what are my options for a psw inverter?

if you do have the 2000 watt inverter it maybe installed on drivers side up above the chassis rails in compartment.
You should have a controller also I would think.
WITH shore power disconnected check some outlets and see if you have power to some of them.
It also shows a 400 watt inverter but that is for the TV & Tape outlet location and a outlet off it inverter near passenger seat and maybe in compartment on passenger side.
Here is a thread on someone else installing inverter.
