I'm thinking about getting rid of fire and failure worries by dumping my Norcold 1200 for a residential fridge...Has anyone done this in THIS model? The standard 21 cu ft or so boxes are about 3" deeper than my 26" cabinet allows for...and the counter depth ones seem to be too wide at a hair under 36"..that about takes up my available width...any suggestions on what to use that fits my space??? I'm thinking the extra 3" frontal overhang may not just look ugly, but will be lacking enough support at the front????

Does the depth include the doors? I residential frig sticks out about 3 inches also, all door.

Hi footdoc,
If your current fridge is not in a slide, take your measurements with the slides closed. My wife said no way would we do this. For my coach it makes the hall way about 12" wide (or less, depending on who is measuring).

If you would pull the trim from the Norcold you may see a larger rough opening for the fridge. If not, then the frame can be widened with a hand circular saw. The counter depth fridge will look like a factory job if you go that way. You probably will have to re build the framework though. It's not a hard job. But you should be half way handy. Somewhere on the forum are pictures of the 23 cu ft fridge I put in our DutchStar that I replaced our Norcold that almost turned our coach into a burned out shell with.
