TwelveVolt......I've installed two Samsungs in the last couple of months. Most remove the wood floor that supports the Norcold and then rebuild a similar floor where needed. There are two leveling legs on the front of the refer they and make for an easy attachment point to the floor, by removing the round adjustable knobs and reversing the brackets.

On the two I did, I screwed a piece of angled aluminum to the top of the refer box and then ran a support from the original roof vent down to the angled aluminum to keep it from leaning. It seems that most manufacturers frame the roof vent in aluminum on at least one side.

You can also add a bracket to the bottom rear and sometimes just drive a large wood screw through the bracket to hold the rear in place, via the old vent door. I also mounted a small water filter in the vent door opening. It was easy to tap into the Samsung lines and is accessible when it needs to be changed.

The Samsung RF197 and Norcold are pretty close in weight. Once secured at the front a single point in the rear and at the roof line, the refer isn't going to move.

The Samsung fits well into the original Norcold opening with really no need to frame out. The raising of the frame above the refer or the floor below by about 6" is all that is needed.

On the two installations I did, I used 1/2" black foam door frame installation around the side and top of the opening. It fits snugly enough that it will pull off when installing the refer. So when I installed the foam, I painted the opening with Weldwood Contact cement and then removed the paper backing on the foam and installed it.

The black and SS Samsungs both have black boxes and the foam tape looks good against it.

Not always necessary, especially with Samsung units.

There are many threads on converting to a residential refrigerator, and a lot of information available on the internet...do a search.
You can retain your MSW inverter, but you will be more limited in the type of refrigerator you can install. I did a conversion to a Samsung RF197 about 1 year ago. I am running it on 4 Lifeline batteries and a 2000w MSW inverter. Absolutely no problems. Like many others have said, it is the best modification I have ever done to my motorhome. I will never have another gas absorption refrigerator.

Here is a installation of a Maytag fridge I think the OP "Brigadoon" covered everything for need to know.

If you want to stick with the Norcold this owner has had great success with his. FreeByrd installation.
