Roof air conditioning problem

I have the 5 button Dometic Comfort Control Center (CCC) which is set to handle the heating and cooling needs of our coach. This past weekend, the front unit (Penguin 13.5) would blow cool air for a while, the would blow hot air and then go back to cool and then to hot while the setting remained on cool. I reset the CCC and the problem still exists. The rear unit works just fine. Where should I look for the problem - the CCC, the roof unit itself, or elsewhere? Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hi Mike,
I had the same problem with my 2004 MADP 4301 except mine was a 15000. There is a solenoid that switches the unit from heat pump to air. I was able to change this myself and never had the problem again. I would look in that direction first.

Hi Mike,
If i remember correctly under the ac cover in front of the condenser behind the coil. It looks like a electro magnet with a chrome rod going through it. The 2 wires that come out of it are probably shorting. I was able to wire tie the wires to a position where the would engage and give me air and saving our trip. My dealer sent me the part and I did the repair. Much better than ripping the unit off the roof under warranty and waiting for shipping and for the shop to due the repair.
