Our 2000 DSDP had the optional fiberglass roof, our '02 had the BriteTek. We liked the BriteTek better. Just as easy to keep clean and quieter due to the material being resilient and having a fabric backing. It would withstand hail better too.
Both take the same care although the '00 fiberglass roof was not a lone piece roof, on the 3865 it was three segments with transverse seams which required checking the seal every 6 mo as per Newmars instructions.
