Roof Question

Are the seams on the roofs of Dutch Stars and other models just caulked or are they covered with Eternabond tape? There was some discussion about the need for using the tape on the Entegra forum and I was wondering if the seams were taped or caulked at the factory.

The roofs are screwed down to the radius wrap with stainless steel strips with caulking in between both materials.
The strips go across the front and rear caps roof level also.

Thanks 007. The poster on the Entegra site had suggested that Eternabond was used on the roof seams, but he must have seen the steel strips. It sounds like the Newmar method would be less likely to result in drying caulk that would have to be either replaced or repaired in some fashion.

My 2015 DSDP has Eternabond on the seams for the front and rear caps only. Nowhere else.

That's something new, I have the steel strips exposed all around the roof plan on covering the strips to protect all the strips and vent area's on roof.
