Anyone know what kind of sealant to use on my 2006 Dutch Star with a fiberglass roof. There are no leaks, but I did notice some cracking on some of the grey sealant. I figure I will have to replace it within the next year or so. I noticed two different colors of sealant, grey, and brown. Grey is the most common, used around vents, horns, and antenna mounts, and the brown is around the skylites and fantastic fans.
Is this something a do-it yourselfer can do?

Should I go with the type mentioned in the owners manual, or is there a better product out there?

I think it's called eternabond...something like that. I used regular silicone caulking on all of my joints and am going to coat it next spring. Ok it's eternabond...just searched it.

Newmar says NEVER to use silicone seal as the primary sealer It's in the Newmar owners manual. They do use silicone to cover the actual sealer on the windows, but it's there to protect the real sealant under it.
Dicor slef leveling around all the openings except for the skylight. Then I think it's sikaflex (going from memory so I might be wrong).

Copy, "Dicor Slef" and "Sikaflex". Thanks, do you know if there is a thread that covers taking off old sealant and putting on new?
