Rusted electrical plates?

Noticed orange dripping down from an outlet, noticing that the faceplates are rusting. I am worried that water is coming through the sidewall, but it could possibly be moisture in the air?

My guess is condensation. Throw the metal plates away and replace them with plastic. They come in many colors. Without boxes, you can't seal off the outlets from air transfer. hence condensation.

My guess is condensation also, but pull that socket out of the wall (disconnect from shore power first, generator off, inverter off), the shine a light inside the wall and look to see if you see any sign of moisture in there.
