RV One

Has anyone purchased their Newmar from Albany RV or Rv One? What was your delivery experience like? How were you treated after the sale? Thanks for any information you can provide.

While I have no experience here with RV One, I can talk about NIRV out of Texas (Atlanta and Phoenix). I flew down and met with Angie who was absolutely stellar. I took factory delivery - so no fuss and the best buying RV experience I have had.

Good luck.

We ordered our Sunseeker from Albany RV with all the options we wanted and saved over $10k from closest dealer, $6k from a dealer 1.5 hours away.Albany is about 2.5 hours away from us so I didnt think we would be using them for service but I had already found 2 RV repair centers close so I did not worry. We havent needed them. The only problem the motorhome has had is a kinked Ride Rite line(knock on wood)and I fixed that.
Iwould really suggest you go thru the Newmar forum and develop a checklist and ask a lot of questions, film the PDI and dont let them rush you.Good Luck

One way to determine how their service is would be to go sit in their service department and talk to people who are there to get their RV's repaired that they bought there.

I had a very bad 2003 DS purchase delivery experience at the Tampa store. Numerous lies and bad repair work. Will not recommed this RV One store.

We ordered our 2016 Dutch Star through Albany RV (RV One) and did factory pick up. I was very satisfied with the price and terms. The purchase experience was fine and all went well for us. We have not returned to the dealer for warranty work as we knew we would use the Newmar factory service center.

RV One was in the list of dealers we received bids from for our 17' LADP. When the salesman called one day, I was busy, and he refused to talk to my wife about our order, we crossed them off the list.

We purchased our DS thru them but did factory PU. Sales rep did a good job however their financial person was completely incompetent.

Check out Great Escape channel on Youtube. Not very complementary with regard to Albany.

X2 for the Tampa location. No PDI, poor service after sale. Would not recommend this dealer.

I purchased SOB DP from RVONE. My service experience was horrible. You will find it more pleasurable and rewarding to repeatedly smash your thumb with a two-pound hammer.

Been there. Done that with first coach from them. But sales person was good so we ordered a second one through them. First service experiences with the second coach was much improved.

We would like to thank everyone for there candor in this thread. I will continue to follow this and post our journey with Albany RV. We had already placed our order for a Newmar Canyon Star the way we wanted it. Got to go on a factory tour and observe our unit being built in building 7. It should arrive in Albany tomorrow. We took our order sheet around to local dealers and they were a good bit past $10,000 over the RV One price. I have been disappointed so far with the information or lack of coming from our sales associate. Waiting for finance to contact us and set up delivery date and details. The journey continues as we wait for our coach.

RV One Franchise at Buffalo RV

Chiming in here about Buffalo RV located just southeast of Buffalo NY. We initially looked at a Canyon Star 3710 but were not happy with their casual attitude about getting the snags fixed before we came to do the orientation, so we backed out of that deal

Bought from Wilkins RV in Bath NY late October 2016 and had a mixed experience with them, BUT we went back to Buffalo RV to have warranty work done a few months later (in January) and they really did a great job of taking care of our problems, big and small.

In short, their servicewriter Cassandra went above-and-beyond to make sure she advocated our issues with Newmar to get authorization for the work to be done. Very highly recommend this RV One franchise for that.
