RV resort after Tampa Show
We are taking our 2015 DSDP to the Tampa Show and staying with the Newmar group on the fairgrounds
We did it last year and had a really great time.
We just got our RV last November and that was one of our first trips
Unfortunately we had to get back to Atlanta and didn't get the opportunity to spend more time in Florida.
So that said after this show we want to head a bit further south for at least another week.
I've been working on the Good Sam trip finder to plan a trip and find a CG but there are so many it makes it difficult Trying to get the "Right" GC.
I am thinking of heading a bit further south but not to the Keys probably no further than Naples and not opposed to going to East Coast.
We will be joining the Newmar KK for the 2016 Rally in the Keys in early December and will explore RV Parks while we are there.
Any advice on RV Parks is appreciated.

May not be as far south as you want to go, but Sun 'n Fun in Sarasota has been rated nationally as the number one park for multiple times. We go there every year. It has anything you can imagine.

Naples RV resort is REALLY REALLY nice. We just left its sister location in Petoskey MI. Only class A 10 years and newer allowed. Had great internet, cable gated community, wide pads ,beautiful grounds. Little pricey but worth it. Petosky was just as nice, just not as pricey.Book early in Florida.

You have plenty to choose from. If you do make it as far as Naples try Pelican lake Motorcoach resort. A lot bigger than Naples Motorcoach resort with larger lots, larger water frontage, more room for the doggies. Both Naples Motorcoach resort and Pelican Lake motorcoach resorts are very nice by the way.
You also have in the Ft meyers area; Myakka resort, Riverbend and Up the river RV resorty> All of them you can't go wrong. Normally a little warmer south of Tampa in January.

Dave, I almost forgot. Pelican lake has a class A rv show right after the Tampa show. The weekend of January 27. Friday- sunday. Free to the public. Newmar will have all of their product line as well as Entegra, Newell, Foretravel and Prevost to mention a few. Great show and you can actually sit down and spend some quality time with the manufactures. Food on site with vendors selling RV items and last year there was a boat manufacturer. You are not battling 70,000 people in Tampa and you get to enjoy Naples.

Another option that we really like is the Myakka River Motorcoach Resort near Port Charlotte.

That is what I would suggest also. It is a much less busy area than Naples and it is a very nice place if you can get in.
DW liked the area so much we bought a house near there.

x4 on Myakka River Motorcoach RV Resort. We are here right now. It early in the season, so it pretty much empty. Nice park.

Be sure to take a ride down to Boca Grande. Lunch at the Loose Caboose is good.
